Neymar shows off incredible touch and Richarlison nails it but Antony has a nightmare – to the delight of his team-mates – as Brazil’s World Cup stars try to control ball dropped by drone from 30 metres
Brazil kick-started their World Cup preparation in unusual fashion after the national squad partook in an intense training drill.
The star-studded national team – who arrived in Turin on Monday to finalise their World Cup preparation – stood under a drone as it dropped a football from 30 metres in order to test their first-touch.
The results were varying – and hilarious – as a number of Europe’s top talents stepped up to the challenge and either impressed or embarrassed themselves in-front of their peers.
Brazil’s national side were challenged to trap a football after it was dropped from 30 metres
Brazil star Neymar completed the challenge with ease and strolled off triumphantly
As part of Brazilian TV show ‘Domingão com Huck’, the Brazil squad were tasked with trapping the ball from 30 metres in the air and only some had success.
Up first was Real Madrid starlet Rodrygo. The winger – who scored a late brace against Man City in last year’s Champions League – can only watch as the ball cannons off his foot and bounces away.
Next was Tottenham’s Richarlison and, surprisingly, he absolutely nails it. As the ball comes down, the striker provides the deftest of touches to control it before trapping it with his foot. He received a well-deserved round of applause from the rest of the squad.
Manchester United’s Antony provided the funniest attempt as he failed to get anywhere near the descending ball. Initially, the winger is seen looking up and seemingly judging the ball’s flight path.
Though, when the camera cuts back, Antony is already out of shot as the ball smacks the ground and bounces into the air. His team-mates look at him in bewilderment and question why he didn’t move.

LaLiga trio Vinicius Jr, Raphinha and Eder Militao all try their luck but have no success as each of their attempts bounce out of their control.
Then comes Brazil’s superstar; Neymar Jr. The PSG forward, who has for so long been touted as one the greatest talents to ever emerge from the country, steps up to the plate and smashes his attempt out the park.
As he controls the ball, he manages to keep it off the ground with a series of keepy-uppies before grabbing it and smacking it away in excitement.
His team-mates quickly surround him and celebrate in awe after the winger pulled off the sensational bit of skill that no one else was able to.
He was even presented with a trophy by the television host after completing the challenge in such impressive fashion.

Neymar is used to having the pressure of a nation on his shoulder’s and this year’s World Cup should be no different.
There’s added incentive for the PSG forward to excel in Qatar, given the fact he is just two goals behind Pele in the all-time top goalscorers list.
He’ll be hoping to break that record when they encounter Cameroon, Serbia and Switzerland in the group stage of the tournament.
